One of the truly understated beauties of the winter garden are the Hellebores or Winter Roses. Hellebores are one of our true passions and on our travels have sourced varieties from all over the world. Some we bring in via tissue culture and some we painstakingly collect the seed and patiently wait for them to grow. We have introduced some varieties to the Australian market and we currently have the stunning Helleborus niger 'HGC Josef Lemper' TM available exclusively to Di's Delightful Plants customers.
The most important feature about the Hellebores we send out is that they do flower as described. Too often we have purchased one colour only to have it turn out completely different and it is enough to make you scream!!
Planted en masse to give a kaleidescope of color and form Helleborus prefer a cool summer position in part to full shade. Plant with Heuchera ‘Amethyst Mist’ and Tricyrtus Empress, to continue this festival of floral magnificence through spring, summer and autumn.
