It produces round crimson tomatoes with flushed with blue-black colour on the shoulders and is a “Beefsteak” style tomato in size and shape.
‘Blue Beauty’ has a tangy, rich flavour.
It is ideal for slicing into sandwiches, as it has a meaty, firm texture; and looks great cut fresh into salads as it holds shape well.
Lycopersicon Esculentum ‘Blue Beauty’ is a Modern Heirloom variety bred in 2013, with heavy, long cropping.
The fruit holds well on the vine for natural sun ripening and maximum rich flavour, and resistant to sunburn and cracking while basking in the summer sun.
Lycopersicon Esculentum ‘Blue Beauty’ is an Indeterminate tomato variety, meaning it will continue to produce fruit for a long period right over summer and into autumn, rather than producing the crop all at once.
It grows approx. 1.2-1.4m. high and does need a stake.
‘Blue Beauty’ tomatoes are notably high in anthocyanins and antioxidants, delicious, and very decorative on both the bush and the table.
