Anemone x hybrida 'Elite Pure White'
RECENT RELEASE
Anemone x hybrida ‘Elite Pure White’ is an improved new form of the classic, single pure white Japanese Windflower.
It is more compact growing and even more generous with flowers than the old original.
But ‘Elite Pure White’ is just as iron tough, and heart meltingly beautiful as any of the autumn blooming Japanese Windflowers.

How to Grow Windflowers
Anemone x hybrida ‘Elite Pure White’ grows 60-80cm. High. In a mass of autumn bloom and makes a 40-60cm. Wide clump of evergreen low foliage.
Hardy in dry shadeLike all the Windflowers, Anemone hybrids grow superbly and easily in the dappled light and shade under trees and shrubs; or in morning sun; or even in quite deep shade with just an hour or two of direct sun.
But best of all they are particularly hardy and persistent in dry shade, and virtually neglect proof once you have settled them in.
Frost hardy
Japanese Windflowers are serene in even hard frosts down to around minus 20 degrees Celsius.
And are rarely if ever plagued by pests and diseases, and virtually nothing eats them!
Rabbit and deer resistant
Rabbits and deer really do not like the taste of Windflower Anemone hybrids. It gives them indigestion apparently (one can only hope!). So, unless they are absolutely starving, they will go pick on something else.
Though bees and other pollinating friends love foraging amongst the pollen rich stamens.
Coastal hardy
Windflowers are well adapted to windy sites and have a relatively high tolerance to salt. So they are considered ideal for coastal gardens where an iron tough plant is called for.
Good cut flowers
Late summer and through autumn can be a lean, mean looking time in the flower garden.
But Windflowers provide masses of colour in the garden, and armloads of flowers for vases indoors, at one of the toughest times of the year.
